All teaching staff at OrganiKids Childcare have been chosen by Debi for their passion as early childhood educators and for their professionalism and educational philosophies and experience.
Debi
Qualified Naturopath & completing her studies in Children’s services. In partnership with her husband Marcel, Deb is the creator & founder of OrganiKids Childcare. She had a vision for a Centre that would be a place safe enough to leave her own child; one where children would be loved & respected by the staff as if they were their own, & one where each child could develop their own individuality based on a quality emergent curriculum.
KINDY ROOM
Elaine
Hailing from Ireland, Elaine is a Qualified teacher in the Kindy room. She has had Montessori training & is also the Assistant Director.Elaine’s calm & reassuring manner make her a real asset to our team & somebody that the parents can feel comfortable coming to with any concerns.
Candice is a fulltime assistant in the Kindy room. She holds a Cert.3 in Children’s Services and has almost completed her Diploma. She has 4 years experience in childcare & has been real asset to the room with her calm and confident manner with the children. She is creative and thoughtful in her approach to early childhood education & loves keeping her skills up through professional development. She is interested in children with special needs & is looking at expanding on her knowledge in this area.
PRE-KINDY ROOM
Jess
Jess is our youngest member of staff & is completing her Certificate 3 in Children’s Services. She has been with OrganiKids for almost 2 years. Her calm & gentle nature endear her to the children & she shows a maturity beyond her years as she interacts with them on a daily basis.
Crystal
Crystal holds a Cert 3 in Children’s Services and is working towards her diploma. She is amazing with the children & loves to share her Maori heritage with them through stories & songs. She has her philosophy to teach the children as much through play as she can.
Ashlee
Ash has been with us a short while but has already made her mark on the children! She is happy & good natured & loves to get down & dirty with the children in her care! Ashlee holds a Cert.3 in Children’s Services.
THE KITCHEN
Jill
Jill is our Food Co-ordinator & works 2 days a week. She is an amazing cook with many years experience & in collaboration with Deb, plans & creates the menus & recipes used here at OrganiKids. Before working here, she worked at the prestigious Lamont’s restaurant, being responsible for recipes published in their cookbook. Jill has been with OrganiKids for 2 years & we won’t let her retire! She is great at making “healthy food” taste good!
June
June is our assistant Food Co-ordinator. She is responsible for the shopping & works 3 days per week. She has many years experience in cooking for canteens & childcare centres & is always willing to help out where she can. She is also great at making “healthy food” taste good….like tofu!
OUR ANIMALS
Clancy
Clancy is our little OrganiDog! He is a Bichon-Poodle, which means he has wool fur so is non-allergenic. He has been coming to OrganiKids since he was 8 weeks old & he hangs out in the office with Deb when he’s not running around outside with the children, chasing balls! The children love him & he is great for calming them down if they’re feeling a little sad.
Zuko & Cherry
Last but not least, are our little OrganiPigs. They are very gentle & love nothing more than a snuggle with the children whilst munching on some greens from the garden. Again, they are great for calming & distracting if a child is a little sad. They also love going for little weekend holidays at children’s houses!
