Our community involved childcare service in Bassendean,is hosting a Swap Meet in the beautiful gardens at OrganiKids, on Saturday February 12th, 8am – 3pm. They are looking for stallholders to pitch in and sell items to raise monies for Australian communities affected by floods and bushfire.
All proceeds on the day will go to the Qld Premiers Flood Appeal. ( www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html )and towards a nominated bushfire appeal.
You can take your part by putting together a stall, including bric or brac (pre-loved, recycled goods), plants & seedlings, arts & crafts or any other items. Groups are welcome to pitch in also. Registration closes 1 week prior on Friday February 4th.
On the day, OrganiKids staff and families will join together, presenting free entertainment by parents and friends of the Centre, seated massages , low cost appetising food options including a gluten free sausage sizzle and 100% natural fruit sorbets and slushies for the kids.
There will be great prizes on the day for the stallholder who raises the most money, all donated by supportive local businesses. Each stall costs $5 and all proceeds of sales made are to go to the flood appeal.
